I am an Independence, IA native and 2008 graduate from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Electronic Media. I currently work as a Master Control Operator at KWWL-DT. My musical career has been short but has included many personally memorable performances with incredible musicians such as Dick Oatts, Jim Oatts, Bobby Shew, Bob Florence, Ray Anderson, Peter Erskine, Byron Stripling, Rick Stone, Chris Merz, Bob Washut and all the other members of Alto Maiz, and so many other amazing musicians that have helped shape me as a player and a person. Dave Holland and Pat Metheny are both musical heroes of mine. I haven't been able to see them perform in person yet, but my time is coming. Bob Washut, Chris Merz, and Ed East are personal heroes of mine. Without them, I would no longer be playing the bass, period. They have done more for me as a person and musician than they could possibly know. But most of all, my family is the greatest inspiration in my life. They support me in everything I do. And I've never had anyone believe in me more than my brother, Dave. It is for him and all those who believe in me that I keep playing music and keep looking for my next niche in life.
