From
Dubuque, Iowa. Dubuque and All That Jazz. They
are truly professional musicians-always on time, prepared and perform a
crowd- pleasing show every time. From a promoter’s standpoint, they are
great to work with- from setup to load out. The are definitely the most
requested band we have ever had at our festival.

The college crowds say……………………
From Decorah, Iowa. Luther
College. There
is almost not enough that I can say about the show. I definitely was
walking around all night with a huge smile on my face, and nearly cried
a few times to see Marty’s packed with students having so much fun. It
is definitely the act I am the most proud of having brought to Luther
and it was one of the best attended I have seen in a long time.
Thanks again,
Jessica From Waterloo, Iowa.

From Eau Claire,
Wisconsin. University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire Orquesta
Alto Maiz’ unique blend of jazz, African, and South American rhythms
was spectacular. This concert was one of the finest multi-cultural
experiences we have been able to offer our Artists Series audience, and
we were delighted with the turnout of Spanish-speaking community
members from throughout Western Wisconsin.

The press says…………………….
From Elkhart, Indiana. The Elkhart
Jazz Festival ……he
quoted a Latin recording artist who said, “If your body doesn’t move
when you hear these guys, you should check your pulse to see if you’re
alive.” It didn’t take more than three measures for the Orquesta Alto
maiz to prove him right.
Latin Style
Magazine In my
opinion, they are creating some of the hottest grooving Latin Jazz and
Salsa, and doing it with their own unique style….this group swings like
crazy!

Alto Maiz's new
CD, "Live at Montreux," has been on my CD player non-stop for several
days. Although I've enjoyed their previous recordings, there is nothing
like a live performance to bring out the pure joy this band projects
with its happy blend of traidicional y neuvo.
Whether
playing Washut's original "Coalesencia," or their own special adaption
of Ruben Blades' classic "Pedro Navaja," Alto Maiz swings hard (and in
clave). Today, Iowa - tomorrow, the world.
